Innova Technologies modernizes industrial gas turbine fuel systems

Innova Technologies modernizes industrial gas turbine fuel systems, replacing aging fuel valves and legacy fuel-control arrangements with modern, electronically controlled fuel metering and integrating it into the turbine control system. We supply the fuel control hardware, instrumentation, piping modifications, and control integration, as a standalone upgrade or as part of a complete controls modernization. (Innova does not supply fuel conditioning equipment.)

Fuel system modernization is one of the highest-value, lowest-disruption upgrades available for an aging industrial gas turbine. Innova Technologies designs and supplies the fuel control hardware, instrumentation, and piping modifications needed to replace obsolete fuel valve arrangements and integrate modern fuel control logic. These projects are delivered either as standalone fuel system upgrades or as part of a complete turbine control system modernization.

The Problem

Aging fuel control systems increase maintenance risk

Many industrial gas turbines continue to operate with aging mechanical and hydraulic fuel control systems that are becoming increasingly difficult to maintain. Legacy fuel valve arrangements, including two-valve configurations such as the GE Frame 5 Speed Ratio Valve (SRV) and Fuel Control Valve (FCV), can lead to higher maintenance costs, reduced parts availability, and increased downtime as components reach the end of their service life.

Many of these systems were originally designed for liquid fuel operation and require significant upgrades to support natural gas or dual-fuel operation. Older fuel control systems may also lack the precision fuel metering, reliable fuel transfer, and combustion control needed to meet today’s operational and emissions requirements.

Modern electronic fuel delivery systems improve fuel control accuracy, simplify maintenance, and provide the flexibility to support liquid fuel, natural gas, or dual-fuel operation from a single integrated control platform.

A MESSAGE FROM JOHN KAZOUR, CEO

Welcome to Innova Technologies

To our customers and partners,

For more than 50 years, our team has helped customers keep critical operations running. We built our reputation as Petrotech by taking responsibility for control systems on important rotating machinery.

As more industries came to us with similar challenges across power generation, compression, and hydro applications, our engineering team kept finding ways to solve them. Eventually, the business outgrew the Petrotech name.

We are entering our next chapter as Innova Technologies. The new name reflects the full scope of our work as a rotating machinery control systems specialist. We engineer controls around the machine, deliver complete projects from design through commissioning, and provide support that stays with the problem until it is solved.

Our name is changing, but the people, engineering experience, and commitment behind the work continue. Our responsibility to active projects and installed systems carries forward under the Innova Technologies name. Your current contacts remain the right place to start, and we will communicate directly if an administrative record requires an update.

We appreciate the trust you have placed in us over the decades, and we look forward to continuing that work as Innova Technologies.
