Credibility

Over 50 years protecting the rotating heart of the refinery

Proven control systems delivered to refiners across five continents, backed by more than a half-century of field-verified performance.

From FCC main air blowers to hydrogen recycle compressors and utility steam turbines, refiners trust our control systems on the machines a unit cannot run without. With thousands of installations and millions of collective operating hours on critical turbomachinery, our solutions help define practice rather than just meet it. Programmed to IEC 61131-3 on commercial platforms, they give customers long-term flexibility and ownership, full access to configuration, calibration, and application logic to operate, maintain, and expand between turnarounds.

Where We Work

The refinery units we control

Typical engagements span the FCC, hydroprocessing, and the utility block, the rotating machines a unit cannot run without.
Anti-surge, capacity, and driver control for the axial machine at the heart of the cat cracker.
Stable capacity and surge protection for the FCC wet-gas compressor across throughput swings.
Reliable recycle and makeup compression for hydrotreating and hydrocracking service.
Speed governing, valve management, and overspeed protection for turbine-driven machines.
Pressure and flow control on high-pressure charge, reflux, and product pumps.
Boiler, steam-header, and generator load-sharing control for the utility block.
Certified control panels for classified areas (UL, ATEX, IECEx) across NEC 500/505 Zone/Division schemes.

The Future of Turbomachinery Control Systems

Engineering Depth

Engineering depth that sets us apart

Application-specific control systems tailored to your generators, switchgear, and reliability objectives, using proven strategies refined over 50+ years.
OEM Independence
Independent of the turbine, engine, and compressor OEMs: we can upgrade and control virtually any machine, regardless of manufacturer or vintage. One partner for the whole fleet, and full negotiating leverage with your suppliers.
Platform Flexibility
Built on commercially available hardware and IEC 61131-3. Your team, integrators, and third-party engineers can access, support, and modify the system without proprietary licenses. You choose the upgrade path.
Data Gathering & DCS/SCADA Integration
We gather real-time equipment data, vibration, bearing temperatures, performance, steam conditions, and integrate it into your DCS, SCADA, and historian for trending, alarming, and operator visibility in one system.
Factory Acceptance Testing
Before shipment, your team participates in a FAT simulating field inputs and operating conditions, startup, load rejection, trip, and ESD, verifying I/O, sequencing, control, and protective logic against the actual hardware.
True Turnkey Delivery
Engineering, P&ID review, panel fabrication, integration and factory test, site I&E installation, loop checking, commissioning, startup, training, and 24/7 support under a single contract.
Global Delivery, Local Compliance

Engineering in New Orleans (HQ), Houston, and the UK; projects executed worldwide to local codes and area classifications (IECEx, ATEX, NEC 500/505) with protective functions engineered to support SIL 2/3 where the project requires.

How We Deliver

From engineering to commissioning to 24/7 support

A control system is only as good as the team that scopes it, builds it, commissions it, and supports it, and we do all of it under one accountability.

Turnkey design / build

Single-vendor responsibility from initial scope through commissioning, reducing interface risk and tightening the schedule.

Installation & commissioning

Experienced field crews who’ve commissioned the equipment before. Schedule discipline, even during shutdowns.

Remote & On-Site Support

24/7 engineering support and rapid on-site response from the team that built the system.

Trusted Worldwide

Trusted by the names you know

Active installations at refineries across North America, South America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific.

A MESSAGE FROM JOHN KAZOUR, CEO

Welcome to Innova Technologies

To our customers and partners,

For more than 50 years, our team has helped customers keep critical operations running. We built our reputation as Petrotech by taking responsibility for control systems on important rotating machinery.

As more industries came to us with similar challenges across power generation, compression, and hydro applications, our engineering team kept finding ways to solve them. Eventually, the business outgrew the Petrotech name.

We are entering our next chapter as Innova Technologies. The new name reflects the full scope of our work as a rotating machinery control systems specialist. We engineer controls around the machine, deliver complete projects from design through commissioning, and provide support that stays with the problem until it is solved.

Our name is changing, but the people, engineering experience, and commitment behind the work continue. Our responsibility to active projects and installed systems carries forward under the Innova Technologies name. Your current contacts remain the right place to start, and we will communicate directly if an administrative record requires an update.

We appreciate the trust you have placed in us over the decades, and we look forward to continuing that work as Innova Technologies.

John Kazour
