Control

Innova Technologies delivers the complete water-delivery scope for gas turbine injection

We design, fabricate, test, install, and commission the injection skid, water manifold, and nozzle interface, and implement the OEM-specified injection control. We take care of everything from the water supply header to the combustor, including control additions, I&E installation, commissioning, and tuning.

Water and steam injection is used on many gas turbines for NOx reduction or power augmentation, with the injection requirements defined by the turbine OEM. Innova provides the full water-delivery scope: we design and fabricate the injection skid and water manifold, provide or modify the fuel nozzles for water injection, and implement the injection control on a modern control platform, integrating the additions and modifications, performing the I&E installation, and commissioning and tuning the system. We follow the turbine OEM’s injection specifications; we do not perform NOx-compliance engineering, emissions calculations, or emissions permitting.

The Problem

Delivering injection water to the combustor reliably takes more than a flow valve

Effective water or steam injection depends on getting properly conditioned water to the combustor at the right rate, reliably, within the limits the turbine OEM specifies, which requires the right skid, manifold, nozzle interface, and control, engineered for the specific turbine and installation environment.

On aging machines, injection systems are often hard to maintain or no longer integrated cleanly with the controls. Innova delivers and modernizes the whole water-delivery scope and re-implements the OEM-defined injection control on a maintainable platform.

Capabilities

Water and steam injection capabilities

Click any capability to expand the full technical detail.

Injection Skid Design, Fabrication, and Commissioning

Design, fabricate, shop-test, install, and commission the water-injection skid that delivers water to the turbine, engineered to the specific turbine's requirements and the installation environment.

OEM-Specified Injection-Rate Control

Implement the OEM's injection-rate schedule (typically a function of load and ambient temperature) and accurate flow control/metering on the upgraded control platform.

Water Manifold and Nozzle Interface

Design and fabricate the water manifold and provide or modify the fuel nozzles for water injection, managing the connection of the skid to the combustor nozzles.

Interlocks, Safe-State, and Purge Sequencing

Implement injection permissives, supply/quality interlocks, fail-safe states, and the OEM-specified post-injection purge to protect combustion hardware.

Full Water-Delivery Scope (Header to Combustor)

Take the entire scope from the water supply header to the combustor, piping, valves, instrumentation, and the control additions and modifications, under one responsibility.

I&E Installation, Commissioning, and Tuning

Perform the instrumentation & electrical installation, commission the system, and tune injection control for stable operation.

Steam Injection Systems and Control

Where steam injection is used, deliver the equivalent system and OEM-specified steam injection control within the scope.

Why Innova Technologies

The complete water-delivery scope under a single responsibility

We follow OEM injection specifications and deliver everything from the water supply header to the combustor, skid, manifold, nozzle interface, and controls, in one scope.
Complete Water-Delivery Scope, Single Responsibility
The entire path from water supply header to combustor, skid, manifold, nozzle interface, and controls, delivered under a single responsibility rather than split across vendors.
Design Through Commissioning in One Scope
Design, fabrication, shop testing, installation, commissioning, and tuning are all handled in one scope, so the same team owns the system from concept to stable operation.
Deep Per-Turbine Injection Knowledge
Deep knowledge of per-turbine injection requirements and how the skid connects to the combustor nozzles, engineered for the specific turbine and installation environment.
OEM-Independent, Integrated Controls
Independent of the turbine OEM, with experience across multiple gas turbine platforms, and injection control integrated with the rest of the turbine control system on a modern, maintainable platform.

A MESSAGE FROM JOHN KAZOUR, CEO

Welcome to Innova Technologies

To our customers and partners,

For more than 50 years, our team has helped customers keep critical operations running. We built our reputation as Petrotech by taking responsibility for control systems on important rotating machinery.

As more industries came to us with similar challenges across power generation, compression, and hydro applications, our engineering team kept finding ways to solve them. Eventually, the business outgrew the Petrotech name.

We are entering our next chapter as Innova Technologies. The new name reflects the full scope of our work as a rotating machinery control systems specialist. We engineer controls around the machine, deliver complete projects from design through commissioning, and provide support that stays with the problem until it is solved.

Our name is changing, but the people, engineering experience, and commitment behind the work continue. Our responsibility to active projects and installed systems carries forward under the Innova Technologies name. Your current contacts remain the right place to start, and we will communicate directly if an administrative record requires an update.

We appreciate the trust you have placed in us over the decades, and we look forward to continuing that work as Innova Technologies.
