Project Management

A control system project is judged on one weekend. We manage the engineering, the manufacturing, the documentation, the testing, and the interfaces in the months beforehand so the outage window is the easy part.

One Point of Contact

One project manager who owns the outcome, not a rotating cast

You should never have to explain your machine twice.

Every project is assigned a dedicated project manager who leads it from kickoff through commissioning and handover, working alongside the engineers responsible for your application. Because Innova Technologies delivers the complete turnkey scope, from engineering and manufacturing through installation, commissioning, and support, project ownership stays with the same team throughout. When a decision or issue arises, you have one point of contact who understands the project, knows who needs to be involved, and can keep it moving forward.

Built Around the Outage

The schedule is built backward from your outage window

The outage date is fixed. Everything else is planned.

Turnaround and outage dates rarely move, so the schedule is developed backward from yours, with the long-lead items, the field input and output audit, the terminal interface design, and the factory acceptance test placed where they have to be. The work that shortens on-site time gets done well before anyone is standing at the machine. Where scope is maximized before shutdown rather than forced into the outage, we will say so during planning rather than after.

Interfaces and Change

Managing the boundaries where projects usually come apart

Most control project delays start at somebody else’s scope boundary.

A control system touches the machine OEM, the electrical contractor, the plant integrator, the instrument supplier, and your own engineering and operations teams. Those interfaces are identified, assigned, and tracked rather than assumed, with interface data exchanged on a schedule and disagreements surfaced early. Changes are handled through documented change control so that scope, cost, and schedule effects are visible when the decision is made, not discovered at closing.

Witnessed and Documented

Factory acceptance testing your team witnesses, documentation your team keeps

The FAT is where training actually happens.

Customer involvement in factory acceptance testing is long-standing practice here, and it does double duty: the system is proven against the project requirements before it ships, and your operators and engineers get hands-on time with it in a place where mistakes cost nothing. Document and deliverable control runs alongside, so the control narratives, cause-and-effect matrices, input and output lists, and as-built drawings you receive at handover reconcile with the system you actually have.

Beyond Handover

Handover is a milestone, not an exit

The project ends. The relationship does not.

Commissioning support, punch list closure, and the transition into operation are managed rather than left to trail off, with a defined handover of documentation, spares strategy, and support arrangements. Remote troubleshooting and diagnostic support with 24-hour telephone support continues behind every installation, backed by field service when a problem needs someone on site.

A MESSAGE FROM JOHN KAZOUR, CEO

Welcome to Innova Technologies

To our customers and partners,

For more than 50 years, our team has helped customers keep critical operations running. We built our reputation as Petrotech by taking responsibility for control systems on important rotating machinery.

As more industries came to us with similar challenges across power generation, compression, and hydro applications, our engineering team kept finding ways to solve them. Eventually, the business outgrew the Petrotech name.

We are entering our next chapter as Innova Technologies. The new name reflects the full scope of our work as a rotating machinery control systems specialist. We engineer controls around the machine, deliver complete projects from design through commissioning, and provide support that stays with the problem until it is solved.

Our name is changing, but the people, engineering experience, and commitment behind the work continue. Our responsibility to active projects and installed systems carries forward under the Innova Technologies name. Your current contacts remain the right place to start, and we will communicate directly if an administrative record requires an update.

We appreciate the trust you have placed in us over the decades, and we look forward to continuing that work as Innova Technologies.
